The world Environment day was observed in a grand scale in the town of Bhatkal and more specially this day was carried out with the joint venture of Anand Ashram Educational Institutes and Forest Department of Bhatkal. The Variety of Programs were done to make this day more meaningful and remarkable. The students of different schools went in jatha holding different slogans conveying the message of “Save the Earth and Heal the Earth”. Our students had an opportunity to present a street play on the same theme. They also had gone to the beach for the cleaning. This program was held in the campus of Anand Ashram Education Institute. It was witnessed by Shri. Sunil Naik the MLA of Bhatkal, Shri. M. R. Munji the BEO of Bhatkal and other VIP’s of Bhatkal town.
The World Environment day was celebrated on 5th of June. The day’s importance was highlighted by the Forgiveness group. They had put-up a meaningful enactment on saving the tress; and also a song on creating awareness of planting the tress.
