The Principal’s , Headmistress and warden’s meeting was conducted in Generalate ‘Somarpann’, on 9th November 2019 from 9 a.m to 4.30 p.m. There were 73 participants from Mangalore, Mysore and Hubli Provinces.
The meeting began with a Prayer Service led by Sr Linet Danthi, Headmistress of St Angela Pre. Pry. School, Bijai . Students of Assisi Central School, Bagambila , Deralakatte welcomed the participants with beautiful dance. V. Rev. Sr Susheela Sequiera, the President of Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society® presided over the Meeting.
Sr Lucy Lilly Pinto, Secretary of U. F.E. Society® welcomed the President, Resource Persons and the participants. V. Rev. Sr Susheela Sequiera gave away the inaugural Message. She questioned saying although in India Christian Institutions are the highest in number, have our alumni are influencing Indian people by living the values they learnt in our institutions. What impact we have created for social transformation? Headmistress have to read people, figure out their motives, appreciate and communicate in well manner.
Rev. Fr Antony Serra, the Secretary of Catholic Board of Education of Mangalore Diocese was the resource person for the morning session. He explained the challenges the headmistress face today and the role of the headmistress in planning, organizing Supervising and maintaining the school events. He explained the benefits of net working . Rev. Sr. Juliana Pinto, Councilor General in the afternoon session shared her thoughts on ‘ Think Positive, Attract Positive and Get Positive’
The Secretary gave her suggestions for better function of the institutions and information regarding the latest circulars issued by the Education Department.
Sr Gracy Pinto, Headmistress of St. Mary’s English Medium School, Thirthahalli compered the meeting, Sr Jacintha Pereira, Headmistress of Gnanbaodhini High School, Bangalore introduced the resource person, Sr Severine Veigas thanked Fr Antony Serra and Sr Roopa , proposed Vote of thanks .
All the Heads of the institutions under Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society® Wardens, Headmistress from other managements were also present for the meeting . The meeting concluded with the Congregational Anthem at 4.30 p.m.
