Anand Ashram composite Pre-University College has already made a deep impact on the minds of the people of Bhatkal, with PUC Board exam result, sports, games and other activities. Value based education in all aspects is the Hall Mark of this Institution. In the year 2015 -16 PUC results being 100%, it has been awarded by the Commissioner for Public Instruction as the top college in the district, with a certificate of appreciation. It has always maintained the quality of result every year in the board exams of class XII. The college prepares the students for common entrance exams such as CET, NEET, JEE There are also refresher courses arranged for teachers, relaxation moments, various celebrations, picnics both for students and staff. On10th June 2015 a new block for PUC had been inaugurated, with well furnished classrooms, and laboratories for Physics Chemistry, Biology, and Computer science; also a good conference hall. Presently during this year 2017 -18 the strength of the High school students is 550 and that of PUC is 213. Ultimately it is the blessing for the dedication and commitment of the staff with generous cooperation, and the trust of the parents that supports the Principal Sr. Therese Shera in coordinating all activities of the institution, focusing on the vision “Fullness of life”.

The support of the parents, the cooperation of the students, the affection both of the parents and the students towards the Institution was a boost for the Sisters to enhance the educational Endeavour in Bhatkal. Every Parent -Teacher Meeting of High School ended with a request for starting the Pre University College to which the Management had no option but to yield. Sr. Lilly Pinto, the Deputy Secretary of Mangalore Province and Sr. Filix D’Souza, the Correspondent of Anand Ashram Institutions succeeded in getting the permission from the Karnataka Government for a Pre University College in Bhatkal with an Order No. ED 273 SHH 2013 Bangalore dated: 16.05.2013. The Pre University College started functioning from June 1, 2013 with a total number of 32 students enrolled for Commerce and Science. The College which is Composite in nature is given to the care of Sr. Therese Shera , the High School headmistress who had the experience of nurturing the newly-born Pre-University College at Belthangady.

The formal inauguration of the College was held on June 10, 2013 in the presence of Rev Sr. Lenita D’Souza, the Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province, Sr. Lily Fernandes, Secretary of UFES who presided over the inaugural function and Sr. Lilly Pinto, Deputy Secretary as the Chief Guest, who inaugurated it. A number of parents as well as the staff and students of Anand Ashram institutions witnessed this historical event with great joy.

DECEMBER 2024

24.12.2024:- Christmas celebrated in the school with the students. UFB students organized a meaningful programme by performing dance, carol singing and the dance with Santa Clause. It was a joyful day to share the Christmas joy with our students and staff members.

13.12.2024 Mr Venkatesh Nayak, BEO of Bhatkal Taluk visited our school, checked the registers and had interaction with high school teachers.

6.12.2024 UFB Convention held from 9.00am to 12.30 pm in High School Auditorium. Sr Trecilla D’Mello, Provincial Councillor presided over the function. Fr Lanson Lobo Ofm.Cap was the resource person. Theme of the day was ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.  There was cultural programme by the Blooms.  Quiz and games were conducted for them.

2.12.2024 Students participated in Folk Dance and Bharatanatyam in Taluk level Pratibha Karanji . Miss Sharika Naik got first place in Bharatanatyam.

NOVEMBER 2024

30.11.2024:- Mohammad Umar of I PUC Commerce got State level first place in Karate held at Dharwad.

30.11.2024 Annual day Ananda Sambrama was celebrated in the afternoon from 2.00pm. It was a great day with colourful events performed by the students. The day was successful with collaboration of staff members and students. Sr Clara Menezes, Provincial Superior presided over the function.

18.11.2024 Kanaka Jayanthi was celebrated in the school by the staff and students.

16.11.2024 PU students enjoyed a day’s picnic to Vismaya Water Park at Kerala.

15.11.2024 Children Protection Committee of the school met together for a meeting.

14.11.2024 :- Children’s day was celebrated in the school. Teaching and Non teaching staff organized the entertainment programme for the students.

11.11.2024 :- Mrs Poornima Shetty and Mr Patric Tellis were the resource persons for the Social Science and Kannada question paper preparation work shop at Vidyabharathi School, Bhatkal.

 10.11.2024 :-Miss Shreya M Naik of II PU Science secured II place in state level relay 4×100 held at Thumkur.

30.10.2024 Celebrated Deepavali in the School along with staff and students. Students organized a short deepavali programme.

28.10.2024 Students of Interact Club along with Mr Patric Telis, attended the installation of Interact Club by Rotary Club, Bhatkal at Sudhindra College, Bhatkal.

25.10.2024 Training in Fire and Safety measures was attended by Sr Shanthi D’Souza, Mr Thomas Louis and Mr Rony Gomes at Kadri Fire Station, Mangalore.

 

24.10.2024 Students attended Open House (Thereda Mane) session on Law and order and on Children Rights at Bhatkal Police Station.

17.10.2024 Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated by the staff and students.

2.10.2024 Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in the school by the staff and students.

1.10.2024 High School students participated in various sports events and selected for State Level in the following events – Ashitha for Triple Jump, Shashank for 400 mtr Hurdle, B.V. Rahul and Yashaswini R Naik for Karate.

24.09.2024 PU girls team participated district level Volley Ball match at Sirsi and selected for State level. Anvita A Kadle for Ball Badminton, Shahid Khan for Table Tennis,Vipul V Padiyar for Shuttle Badminton, Sujan M Naik and Mohammed Umar for Karate.

 18.09.2024 Students participated in Zonal Prathibha Karanji and got I place in Janapada dance, Bharatanatyam, Kavali and English Speech.

16.09.2024 Students participated in Science Exhibition at Janatha Vidyalaya, Murdeshwar.

15.09.2024 Staff and students joined hands in creating democracy human chain on the occasion of International day of Democracy.

13.09.2024 High School boys Kabadi team played at Alvekodi School ground and selected for District level Kabadi.

12.09.2024 Students of I & II PUC commerce along with the Principal and Teachers visited the Ice factory, Tiles factory and bag factory around Bhatkal. Through this visit the students gained the practical knowledge of workplace, how industries are maintained, the work nature, work discipline that need to be maintained by employees.

7.9.2024 Students conducted inter class Spell bee competition. Students of all sections participated with great enthusiasm. This competition helped students to improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English. Students were congratulated and appreciated by the Headmistress and Teachers for their leadership and initiative.

6.9.2024 PUC students performed various activities on Teacher’s day on the theme colours of India. Everyone enjoyed the programme. They thanked all the teachers for their selfless service.

5.9.2024 Teacher’s day was celebrated in the school. Programme commenced with the prayer song followed by lighting the lamp. Teachers were welcomed with a flower. Students performed cultural activities like dance, song and skit. They arranged some games for teachers to entertain them. Everyone enjoyed the day.

 AUGUST 2024

22.08.2024 High School students participated at Taluk level sports events. They got selection for district level sports in various individual and group events.

 20.08.2024 Students were given a session on Kanunina Arivu ( awareness of Law) by Mrs Deepa Naik, Bhatkal Police.

  1.8.2024 The election for the SPL and ASPL was conducted. Tenth standard students were given the chance to stand for the election of SPL. IX Std students contested for the post of ASPL. All the candidates were given a chance to campaign through a public speech. Each candidate was given a symbol. All the students from High School participated in voting.  The counter was set up for the verification of the identity cards after which one finger of left hand was marked with the ink. Then the election was done with electronic mode.

        

  JULY 2024

12.07.2024 Vanamahotsava celebrated in the school with great enthusiasm by planting a sapling. The students presented a skit highlighting the importance of nature conservation, encouraging everyone to keep the surrounding clean and protect mother earth.

06.07.2024 Staff members celebrated the life of Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Headmistress.

                            

 JUNE 2024

29.06.2024 The inauguration of Eight clubs Eco Club, Science Club, Health Club, Children’s Right Club, Sports Club, Interact Club, Maths Club, Literary Club was started with invocation to the Almighty God. It was followed by lighting the lamp and welcome. The Club President along with the Secretary displayed the posters with the objective of their clubs. After the formal inauguration there was a wonderful cultural programme presented by each club in the form of dance, song and skit.

26.06.2024 An awareness program was organized by Bhatkal police department on the occasion of international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in our school. The resource persons were Mr. Naveen Naik and Mrs. Deepa Nayak. This event aimed to educate students on the effects of drug abuse and thus promote a drug-free world.

25.06.2024 Investiture ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held at college auditorium. The ceremony began with a prayer. Then Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal led the oath taking ceremony wherein the student leaders pledged to uphold the values and principles of the college. She congratulated the student council for taking up the various responsibilities and wished them all the best for the new academic year.

21.06.2024 International Yoga day was celebrated in the school with great enthusiasm. Students performed various Yoga Asanas and the importance of these were explained to them.

18.06.2024 PTA Executive Committee meeting commenced with a prayer. Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal welcomed all the members. She kept before the members the activities carried on during the past year and the future plans for the Institute. Mr. Gangadhar Naik was unanimously chosen as the Vice President of PTA for the year 2024-25.

14.06.2024 UFB inauguration for High School and Primary Students for the year 2024-25 was done in college Auditorium.  Prayer service was conducted with the theme Pilgrims of Hope.

12.06.2024 Career guidance session was given to the I & II PUC science students along with their parents by Mr Mayur  and Mr Sagar, MyPal Coaching Centre, Bangalore.

07.06.2024 A vibrant Freshers’ Day program was hosted by the II PUC students to welcome the new batch of first year PUC students. The program commenced with a prayer followed by captivating performance by the second year students through cultural program and conducting games for the first years. Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal motivated the students to be more enthusiastic and grab every opportunity that come on their journey as they move forward in their life.

06.06.2024 Sr Lilly Pushpa took the orientation for the High School students and she met the parents of High School students and spoke to them on the adolescent empowerment program.

05.06.2024 World Environment day was celebrated to increase the awareness among the students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. Two students spoke on this theme and created awareness in the students. The skit displayed by the group of students stressed on the need to protect and preserve the nature. All the students took to the oath to preserve the environment

APRIL

10.04.2024 II PUC results were announced. Commerce section secured 100% and Science section 98%. Sumithra Nayak got I in Taluk level, 6^th in District and 9^th rank at state level.

MARCH 2024

09.03.2024 Farewell programme for the X Std students was organized by IX std students with various games, dance and sharing their experience in the school.

FEBUARY 2024

27.02.2024 II PUC farewell programme was conducted by the I PUC students. They conducted some games for them and performed some activities.  Few students of II PUC shared their past experience and thanked the Management, Staff and students for all their love, guidance and support. Everyone wished them all the best for their future life.

10.02.2024 Teachers visited the houses of X Std students met their parents.

09.02.2024 Students participated in the State level Prathibha Karanji (Folk dance) at Dharwad.

01.02.2024 Mrs Roopa Karvi, Principal of Vidyabarathi High School, and Mrs Seema, Lecturer visited our school for monitoring the SSLC results. They checked the answer sheets, met the Principal, Teachers and X Std students.

JANUARY 2024

26.01.2024 Students participated in Republic day parade by participating in the Band and march-past at Bhatkal Taluk ground. They also performed a dance and were  appreciated by the AC and other officials of Bhatkal.

25.01.2024 Darshan Naik, II PUC student had the honour of receiving State level first prize in poster making on the theme of National Voters’ day from Honorable Governor of Karnataka Sri Thaiwarchand  Gehlot at Bangalore. He was also honoured at Bhatkal Taluk ground by AC, Tahasildar and the other Officials of Bhatkal.

24.01.2024 Christina Martis, X Std student was honoured at Manasa Gangothri, Mysore University for receiving state level consolation prize in Essay competition on National Voters’ day.

DECEMBER 2023

23.12.2023 Christmas was celebrated in the school with meaningful programme by the students. They conveyed the message of Christmas through dance, Carols and skit. Everyone enjoyed the company of Santa Clause and danced with him.

14.12.2023 Sr Juliana Pais, Deputy Secretary of Mangalore Province and her Team conducted the evaluation of High School and PU College. They observed the classes of teachers, checked all the school documents and met the Staff members. They appreciated the Principal and Staff members and gave their valuable suggestions for improvement.

28.11.2023 Mr V.D. Moger, BEO of Bhatkal Taluk visited our school, addressed to X Std students and met the staff members.

18.11.2023 Golden jubilee of Primary School was celebrated with much joy and thanksgiving.  All our staff members took active part in the celebration. Our students performed the prayer dance and the Jubilee song.

13.11.2023 Children’s day was celebrated by the staff members by making the children happy through their wonderful performance.

1.11.2023 Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in the School and also at Bhatkal Taluk ground. Students performed dance on this occasion and were awarded by the A.C of Bhatkal.

29.09.2023 PU Students participated in District Level Sports at Haliyal for two days.  Our students were selected for State level sports. Shreya Naik got first in Triple Jump, 200 mtrs and Second in Javeline and the individual Championship. Aniketh –Second-100 mtrs, Vipul Padiyar- First- Triple Jump. Afzal- first – Karate, Priyanka – First – Karate. First in Girls Relay, and First in Girls Volleyball. We Congratulate all the students.

16.09.2023 Students participated in Science Exhibition at Shira

11.09.2023  Cluster level Prathibha Karanji was conducted in our school. Students from seven schools participated in this event. Sr Lucy D’Souza, Correspondent of the Institutions presided over the programme. Mrs Geetha Naik from BEO Office, Mr Shridhar Shet, Sr Anitha Pinto, Heads of the Institutions, Mr Gangadhar Naik, PTA Vice President were on the Dais. After the stage programme students participated in various competitions. Winners were honoured with certificates.

05.09.2023 Teachers’ day was celebrated by the students. They welcomed the teachers with flower, greeting card and sweets. Programme began with a prayer and lighting the lamp. Students performed various activities and conducted games for the teachers. It was a day of joy and gratitude. After the programme the staff members of all the Institutions had a common get together and the meals organized at Primary school premises

19.08.2023 Basic orientation for Interact Club members of our School was given by Vaishnavi Naik. President Rotaract Club of Bhatkal and Zonal Rotaract Representative, Uttara Kannada Zone

15.08.2023 77^th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Staff and students. Mr Radhakrishna retired army man was the chief guest. Heads of the Institutions, PTA Vice President were present for the programme. Chief Guest hoisted the National flag and the National anthem was played by the school band.

JULY 2023

22.07.2023 PTA General Body meeting held in the morning at 9.30am. Sr Lucy D’Souza, Correspondent presided over the programme. Sr Anitha Pinto, Animator of the convent, Fr Julius Rasquinnha SDB, Fr James SDB, Resource persons,  Mr Gangadhar Naik, Vice President PTA, Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal were present on the dais. Meeting began with a prayer dance followed by welcoming the guests and lighting the lamp. SSLC Topper (2022-23) Vijeth Gowda, II PUC Science  – Gayathri Moger, II PUC Commerce- Crystel D’Souza and all the students who secured 90%  and above in SSLC exam, and 85% and above in II PUC were honoured. Mr Patric Tellis present the report of School activities for the year 2022-23 through PPT presentation. Fr Julius shared his views on “the parents’ role in the academic growth of Children” in English; Fr James translated it in Kannada. The policies of the school were explained to the parents by the Principal. Mr Gangadhar expressed his words of appreciated and Sr Lucy D’Souza delivered her presidential speech.

15.07.2023 School level Prathibha Karanji competitions were conducted. Students participated with full of zeal and enthusiasm.

08.07.2023 Vanamahotsava was celebrated at School. Students conducted various activities like prayer song, speech, song on the day’s theme, and dance. Students were given the saplings to plant at home and to take care of it. Headmistress addressed the students on the importance of trees and our nature.

06.07.2023 We celebrated the life of Sr Vinutha D’Souza our Principal with prayers, wishes, songs, flowers, cake and sweets. It was a joyful day.

JUNE 2023

23.6.2023 –  VIII & IX Std students had the orientation programme by Fr James D’Souza SDB and Fr Roshan D’Souza SDB on Value system and use of social media.

23.06.2023– Sr Lilly Pushpa conducted the AEP orientation to the staff members for two days.

Inauguration eight clubs such as Eco Club, Interact Club, Maths Club, Science Club, Literary Club, Children Right Club, Sports Club and Health club with creativity by the students

21.06.2023– International Yoga day was celebrated by performing various asanas by the students

19.06.2023- PU Parliament members were given the responsibilities by the Principal with the lighted lamps

17.6.2023– International drug abuse and Illicit Trafficking awareness was given to the students by Bhatkal Police department

15.6.2023 – New parliament was installed and new members were given their responsibilities by handing over the lighted lamp by the Headmistress

10.06.2023 Fresher’s party was arranged for the first year students by the II PUC students. They were welcomed to the college with a prayer song, welcome dance and conducted some games. Principal gave a message to them at the beginning of the year.

5.6.2023 World Environment day was celebrated. Students sang the song relating to environment and delivered a speech. They were enlightened on the importance of clean environment around us

Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal with other sisters had the opportunity to greet Shri Mankal S.  Vaidya, Minister for Fisheries and Ports on his 50^th birthday.

MAY 2023

31.05.2023– Students were welcomed to the school with joy for the academic year 2023-24. Day began with lighting the lamp, prayer service followed by welcome dance. Headmistress introduced the staff members to the VIII Std students and delivered the message to the students

31.05.2023– Farewell programme for retired BEO Sri Devidas M Moger was organized by the staff members of BEO and BRC office at Anand Ashram PU College auditorium.

27.05.2023– Orientation programme for Nursery, Primary, High school and PUC staff was conducted in PUC Hall. Mr S.J.Kairan was the resource person. He enlightened the teachers about their noble profession of teaching and their role in the all round development of a student

 

27.05.2023– A parting gathering was organized in gratitude to recognize the services of Sr Theresia Shera, who served as Principal of Anand Ashram Composite PU College for the past 9 years, Miss Radhika for three years and Mrs Sheethal Naik for one year. They were thanked and appreciated for their selfless and dedicated service for the institute and for the students

23.05.2023 SSLC topper Vijeth Gowda was honored during the UFESociety general body meeting at Somarpann, Generalate, Mangalore

08.05.2023- SSLC annual exam results were announced. Our school pass percentage is 98.77%. Vijetha Gowda secured 621 marks standing II topper in Bhatkal Taluk.  Distinction-64,  First class – 89, Second Class -7, and Third Class-1.

25.02.2023 : Teachers visited the houses of X Std students.

24.02.2023 : Last parliament session was done and the responsibilities of the leaders were handed over to their Asst. leaders. The leaders were congratulated  and appreciated for their services.

23.02.2023: Sr Clara Menezes, Provincial Superior of Mangalore paid the official visit to our school. She was welcomed by the staff and students with flowers and honored with a shawl and memento.  Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal introduced her to the gathering and thanked her for her continuous support and encouragement towards all the activities of the school. In her speech Sr Clara Menezes congratulated all the teachers and appreciated their selfless service towards the growth of the child. She also appreciated the students for their discipline and attentiveness during her speech. She wished them all the best for their forthcoming exams and for their future life. Afternoon she met all the teaching and non teaching staff and thanked them for all their service. Sr Shalma D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

20.02.2023 :Shreya Naik and Vipul Padiyar participated State Level Javeline Throw and 200 mtr race at Mysore. Mr Mahesh Naik and Miss Bharathi Gond accompanied them.

17.02.2023: Mr Santhosh Shresti from District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) paid a surprise visit to the school.

15.02.2023 :II PUC students were given the farewell programme by the I PUC students. Few students expressed their sweet memories of the school and thanked the teachers for their selfless service and support.

14.02.2023: Internal audit of the School accounts was done by Sr Pramila D’Cunha the Procurator General and Sr Molly D’Cunha, Province Economer.

14.02.2023: Sr Julian Pais, the Deputy Secretary of Education and Sr Laura Pinto the member of Education commission of Mangalore Province visited the school for the evaluation of SSLC preparatory results, the observe the classes, and to see the overall activities of the school. They conducted the meeting with the Staff members, appreciated and guided them for their future mission. They gave valuable suggestions to be implemented during the coming days to improve the all round performance of the students.

02.02.2023: Sr Dimple D’Souza the coordinator of AEP programme in the congregation observed the classes on Life Skills for VIII Std by Mrs Poornima Shetty and Sensitization session for X Std by Mrs Asha Naik. She evaluated the yearly programme, appreciated and guided the teachers and discussed the future plans to carryon this mission effectively.

27.01.2023: Students participated in Pariksha Pe Charcha programme. Quiz and Essay competitions were conducted and winners were awarded with prizes. Students of Classes VIII onwards along with their teachers, watched the live telecast of “Pariksha Pe Charcha” from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m

26.01.2023: Republic day celebrated in School by the staff and students. Mr Ravi N Naik Retired Army man was the chief guest. Heads of the institutions, Staff members and students were present for the programme. Students sang the patriotic song, gave speech and compered the programme. Mr Ravi N Naik was honoured on the occasion. Mrs Poornima Shetty, Social Science teacher was honoured for receiving Katti Mani Prashasthi award for the third time.

25.01.2023: National Voter’s day was celebrated to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission. The Headmistress in her speech highlighted the significance of the voter’s day and the history of this day. The student president read the voter’s day pledge and helped the students to take the pledge.

15.01.2023: Our students participated in Yogathan programme conducted by the Department at Bhatkal Taluk ground at 5.30 a.m.

07.01.2023: Golden jubilee inaugural celebration of Anand Ashram Primary school was celebrated in the Campus. It was a joyful day to thank God for all the blessings received through our Institution. All the staff members sang the prayer song and the High School and PU students performed the welcome dance and took part in other activities. It was a memorable day to all the past and present staff members and students of our Institutions.

28.12.2022:Staff members enjoyed the day of outing to Udupi Hanging bridge, Hasta Shilpa Heritage Museum, Manipal Tree park and Malpe Beach. It was a day of joy and relaxation.

23.12.2022: Christmas was celebrated with joy. Celebration began with a meaningful prayer service followed by Dance, Christmas skit, carols singing and dance with Santa Clause and sharing Christmas cake with the staff and students.

23.12.2022: On the occasion of Crime Prevention week Mrs Suma, Police officer spoke to the students on Cyber Crime and POCSO and created awareness in students to be away from these crimes.

17.12.2022 : Three students from High School participated in Spell Bee competition organized by Bhatkal Rotary Clun and won the I place.

17.12.2022 : I& II PUC students along with the staff members were taken for science tour to Manipal Planetarium, Museum of Anatomy and Tree Park.

14.12.2022: Students participated in district level Prathibha Karanji and were selected for State level in Kavali.

11.12.2022: Naik I PUC science student participated in Anjuman Fuziona drawing competition and secured I Place.

10.12.2022: High School students were taken a day’s outing to Yuva Meridian Water Park to Koteshwar. Students enjoyed the day.

7.12.2022 : Mrs Poornima Shetty received the Kattimani Prathishtana Prashasthi for the third time for getting the highest percentile in Social Science in SSLC annual exam 2021-22.

NOVEMBER 2022

26.11.2022 : Constitution day was celebrated by praying for our country, leaders and all the citizens. The significance of the day was explained to the students by a speech from the student. At them end students took the oath.

19.11.2022 : Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated by taking oath by the students and the speech by the students.

18.11.2022: Darshan Naik participated in division level drawing competition and selected for State level.

16.11.2022 :Taluk level cultural activities 2022-23 conducted in our PU Block. 10 colleges participated. Mr Ramrath, President of Bhatkal Taluk Principals Association inaugurated the programme. Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal presided over the function. After the inaugural function various competitions were conducted. Winners were awarded with certificates.

15.11.2022: Students used their innovative ideas and prepared the models for science exhibition at Janatha Vidyalaya, Bhatkal.

14.11.2022 : Children’s day celebrated. Teachers conducted the prayer service and a greeting song to wish the students on their special day. Students were given the opportunity to exhibit their talents on that day.

11.11.2022 : Kanakadasa Jayanthi celebrated in order to commemorate birth anniversary of Kanakadasa. Programme began with a prayer song and lighting the lamp. Students delivered a speech on the life of Kanakadasa and his contribution to the Carnatic music.

9.11.2022 : School Band and the Students participated in the rally organized by the AC of Bhatkal from the school to Mini Vidhana Soudha, Bhatkal to create awareness in the people about their voting rights during election.

01.11.2022 : Students participated in school band and Marchfast during the procession on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava to Bhatkal Taluk ground. Students also performed a dance during this celebration.

29.10.2022:  Deepavali celebration in the school with a meaning prayer song, speech, and dance by the students.

28.10.2022:  Koti Kanta Gayana programme was arranged at Primary School Hall on the occasion of 67^th Karnataka Rajyotsava day. All our students participated in it.

24.09.2022 : Institution day was celebrated. Inter class competition for PUC students was conducted. The theme for the competition was Indian tradition, Culture and Patriotism. Students performed the activities very creatively. It was a joyful day for all of us.

5.9.2022: Teachers’ day was celebrated by High School and PUC students. Program began with a prayer service. The students performed scintillating cultural programme to show their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural programme incorporated dance, skit, speech and song. They entertained teachers by conducting fun games for them. Teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program conducted by the students. At the end the teachers from all the Institutions in the campus had few competitions and the meal arranged by the Primary school. In the afternoon there was Throw ball and Vollyball competition for staff members. Winners were given the prizes.

3.9.2022 : PUC students participated Taluk level sports competition. They won the prizes in Karate, Vollyball and BBT. They were selected for district level.

27.8.2022 :  High School students were given a session on digital banking.

26.8.2022 : High School students participated in Zone level Sports competition. They won the overall Championship.

24.8.2022 : AEP inauguration was done in our School. Sr Lucy D’Souza, Correspondent of the School presided over the function. 20.8.2022 : X Std student Vijet G Gowda participated in Taluk level Science debate and selected for district level competition.

20.8.2022 : 107 birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Devaraj Arasu was observed in the school. Students spoke on the life and works done by Devaraj Arasu.

18.8.2022 : National Integration day Sadbhavana Diwas was celebrated. Students spoke on the importance of the day, sang songs and took the pledge.

17.8.2022 : Food kit was distributed to the families affected by flood.

15.8.2022 : Independence Day was celebrated at Primary School ground. Our students went to Taluk ground for March fast and for the Band. The cultural activities were conducted in the Primary School auditorium.

30.7.2022: Training on Adolescent Empowerment programme was conducted for staff members for two days by Srs Lilly Pushpa, Judith Saldanha, Precilla Correa, Dimple D’Souza. Sr Juliana Pais, Deputy Secretary UFESociety Mangalore Province inaugurated the programme.

23.7.2022 : Thatt Antha Yeli Quiz competition conducted in the school. Seven clubs participated in it. Mr Raghavendra Naik, president, Spandana Charitable Trust, Bhatkal inaugurated the competition. Mr Gangadhar Naik, Vice President, PTA, Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Headmistress were present. Mr Patric Tellis conducted the quiz competition. Winners were awarded with prizes.

19.7.2022: Quiz competition conducted on the occasion of President and Vice President election. Twenty students participated.

2.7.2022 : Vanmahotsava celebrated in the school by planting sapling and distributing saplings to the students. PTA members were present for the programme. Student Shreya, Mr Nagaraj and Headmistress spoke on the importance of trees in our life and the meaning of the celebration.

JUNE 2022

25.6.2022 Day observed as the International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. It is observed to create awareness among the students about drug abuse. Mrs Suma and Mrs Veena PSI Bhatkal Police Department spoke on the bad effects of drug abuse. At the end of the session students took the pledge saying No to Drug.

21.6.2022 International Yoga day celebrated in the school by the students performing various Yogasanas.

18.6.2022 II PUC results were announced.  Commerce – 100% and Science – 89.47%. Science topper- Deeksha Jain – II place in Bhatkal Taluk Commerce topper – Salton Machado – II place in Bhatkal Taluk.

18.6.2022 The inauguration of various clubs of the school was done. The club in-charges along with the club Secretary displayed the posters on various clubs. The various clubs inaugurated were- Sports Club, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Health Club, Eco Club, Interact Club, and Children’s right Club. After the formal inauguration, there was a wonderful cultural programme presented by all the clubs in the form of dance, melodious singing, skit etc.

14.6.2022 Freshers day was celebrated. I PUC students were welcomed by the II PUC students by performing various activities like dance, song and games. They enjoyed the day.

7.6.2022 On the occasion of environment week students attended a programme arranged by the forest officials at Bhatkal

6.6.2022 PTA General Body meeting was conducted in the afternoon. Sr Lucy D’Souza, Correspondent of the Institution presided over the programme. Sr Lilly Pushpa UFS was the resource person spoke on the theme adolescent empowerment. Programme began with a prayer dance by the students followed by welcome and introduction of the teaching and non teaching staff by Sr Vinutha D’Souza, Principal. Sr Theresia Shera the former Principal who served for the past 9 years and Mr Radhakrishna Bhat who served as PTA Vice President for the past six years were honoured with a shawl, flowers and fruits. Mr Patric Tellis proposed vote of thanks. Programme was compered by Sr Shalma and Mrs Asha. More than 500 parents were present for the meeting.

 

4.6.2022 Environment day celebrated. After the prayer song, various activities like dance, song and speeches by the students highlighting the importance of environment were done. Mr Kuppayya Gond, Forest officer delivered an inspiring speech to the students.

2.6.2022 PTA Governing body meeting was conducted in the afternoon at 3.00pm. All the members were present. Mr Gangadhar Naik was selected as the Vice President of PTA.

MAY 2022

31.5.2022 Teachers’ orientation programme was conducted for all staff members of Primary and High School. Sr Theresia Shera was the resource person. She was honored with a shawl, garland and fruits for her selfless service in our institution.

Event began at 8.30am with the hoisting of the Indian National flag by Mr Gangadhar Naik, President of Prarthana Prathishtana, the Chief Guest of the day followed by the National Anthem. Students from PU College took active part by singing patriotic songs and delivering speech on the significance of the day. Chief Guest addressed the gathering with his inspiring speech.

25.01.2022 Sumithra Naik from X Std received third prize in Essay Competition conducted on the occasion of National Electoral day. It was conducted for the High School students of Bhatkal Taluk. She was honoured at the Tahsildar Office by the Education Department.

05.01.2022 Vaccination drive inaugurated in our school for the students above the age of 15years. 426 students vaccinated on that day.

04.01.2022 Science teachers’ workshop conducted in our school auditorium the whole day.

29.12.2021 Headmistress and Staff members went to Government High School, Bunder and shared the joy of Christmas with the students of that school

26.12.2021 Staff picnic to Eco Beach at Honnavar. All the members enjoyed the day with games, songs, playing in the water and one another’s company. It was a relaxing day to all.

24.12.2021 Christmas joy was celebrated by singing Christmas Carols, performing Skit, dance and display of shadow play. Sweets were shared with all the students and teachers. It was a day of joy.

8.12.2021 As a part of Crime Prevention Month classwise competitions such as conducting Seminar, preparing Bulletin board were conducted for the students on the theme: Child Rights and Traffic Rules. Students participated actively. Winners were given prizes. Mrs Suma Achari the Police officer of Bhatkal addressed the students and created awareness on crime related issues.

NOVEMBER 2021

27.11.2021 Third Parliament session was conducted to help the students to develop their leadership qualities and to be responsible in their life. They learn to evaluate the discipline, cleanliness, respect for the teachers and companions which they practice in the school, at home and in the society.

26.11.2021 The Constitution Day was celebrated to create awareness on the Indian Constitution. The programme commenced with a prayer song. The significance of the day was given by the students through a speech highlighting the Preamble, the major principles of our Constitution and need to preserve the National integrity of our country. Darshan the SPL led the students in taking the pledge by reciting the Preamble to the Constitution.

22.11.2021 Kanakadasa Jayanthi celebration began lighting the lamp to the portrait of Kanakadasa. Students energetically took part in the celebration by singing songs and  Keerthanas. They addressed the gathering by their speech on the life of Kanakadasa and the significance of the day.

13.11.2021 Children’s day was celebrated in the school. Teachers conducted the prayer service, performed various activities and entertainment programme for the students. Various competitions were conducted and winners were awarded with the prizes.

12.11.2021 National Achievement Survey ( NAS) exam for the students of VIII and X Std was conducted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in our school.

06.11.2021 Staff and students celebrated Deepavali in the school with a prayer service lighting the lamps and performed various activities like skit, dance and delivered speech depicting the meaning of Deepavali the festival of light.

01.11.2021 Karnataka Rajyotsava day. High School band participated in the rally from New English School ground to Bhatkal Taluk stadium. Few students performed a dance at the stadium.

28.10.2021 High School students joined in Laksha Kantagala Geethagayana singing organized on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

09.10.2021 Feast of St Francis of Assisi was celebrated as the Institution day. Programme began with a meaningful prayer service. After the welcome PUC inter class competitions were conducted. Everyone enjoyed the day.

02.10.2021 Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated with the students and staff members. Students sang the patriotic songs and gave the speech highlighting the values practiced by Gandhi.

SEPTEMBER 2021

20.09.2021 High School student parliament was inaugurated. Darshan- School President, Shreya – Asst School President, Shriya Pai- Speaker. All the Cabinet leaders took the oath in the presence of Headmistress, Teachers and students.

10.09.2021 Classwise bulletin board competition was conducted. Students used their talents and decorated the board with different articles, cartoons, drawings and with creativity. The theme was Teachers are our Mentors.

07.09.2021 PUC Cabinet members were elected and it was inaugurated. All the leaders took the Oath in the presence of Principal, Staff and students.

05.09.2021 Teacher’s day was celebrated in our Auditorium. Teachers were welcomed with flowers and sweets. After the prayer service Mr Patric Tellis conducted various competitions for the teachers. All the teachers participated with full zeal and enjoyed the day. Winners were awarded with prizes. At the end all the teachers of High School and Primary school came together participated in different games. It was a wonderful and memorable day for all the staff members.

01.09.2021 Rural IT Quiz exam conducted for the students from VIII Std to II PUC students. 22 students from High School and 32 students from PU College wrote the exam.

15.08.2021 75^th Independence Day was celebrated at Anand Ashram Pry School grounds. Mr Shashidhar Naik – CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), the Chief Guest, Mr Nagaraj Shet PTA Vice President, Heads of the Institutions and Staff members were present for the program. The Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. The Staff members sang the Patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land.  The Chief Guest delivered a speech on the importance of freedom in the country. Programme was concluded with the vote of thanks.

Parents of VIII, IX ,X Std, I & II PUC students had a meeting at 9.30am in the hall. Headmistress gave them the information regarding FA1, FA2 test, Project books and next exam. After that the parents met the class teacher signed the progress report and took project books of their children.

03.11.2020 Kannada poetry writing, singing and quiz competitions for the teachers were conducted on the occasion of Kannada Rajyothsava in school auditorium. Appeared -43, Passed -40. Distinction-14, I Class – 18, II Class-8. All the students were congratulated by the management, Principal and Staff.

26.02.2020: Farewell program for II PUC students was done by the I PUC students in the Hall as an expression of gratitude and wishing them all the best for their future.

25.01.2020: National Voter’s day was celebrated in the College to highlight the importance of voting and every vote. This day also marks the foundation of the Election Commission of India.  Students were given Essay and drawing competition. They were enlightened about the significance of the day and had taken the voter’s pledge.

26.01.2020: Republic day was celebrated in the school ground. Program began at 8.00am. National flag was hoisted by Mr A A Mulla, Principal, Anjuman Degree College, Bhatkal the chief guest of the day. He delivered an inspiring message to the students. They performed some activities and a speech. After that our students went to the Taluk grounds to celebrate the Republic day with school band and participated in the march fast. They also performed a dance in the ground.

04.12.2019 Provincial Superior Rev Sr Rita Vas officially visited our school and met the staff and students of High School and PUC in the school Hall. Headmistress welcomed her with words, shawl, flowers and memento. Students performed few activities and exhibited their talents. Provincial Superior addressed the students and the students attentively listened to her and enlightened. After that she met the teachers and had high tea with them. It was a day of joy to spend the evening with our beloved Provincial Superior.

Christmas was celebrated in the school together with High School and PU Students.  Program began with a prayer continued with singing carols, Jingle bell dance, Skit and message from the students and Headmistress.  Students who won various competitions were given prizes. It was a joyful day for all.

NOVEMBER 2019

14.11.2019 Children’s day celebrated in the School. Program began with a prayer service and lighting the lamp. The portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru was garlanded. Teachers performed dance, skit and greeted the children with a greeting song. Students also performed a dance. It was a day of joy. Children were sweetened by giving ice cream to them.

OCTOBER 2019

09.10.2019: Students from I & II PUC total 82 students went to Mysore, Bangalore Wonderla in the morning along with their teachers. On the way they visited Mangalore, Sullia, Madikeri Maharaj Seat, Golden Temple and Chamundi Hills. It was a wonderful day for all of them.

31.10.2019: Students celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Valabhabai Patel. There was a speech by one student about Sardar Valabhabai Patel’s great contribution to our country. After that the students took the Oath to work together to keep the unity of the nation. Principal gave them a message to understand the meaning of Rashtriya Ekta.

SEPTEMBER 2019

05.09.2019: Teachers’ day  and traditional day was celebrated in the College.  Students came with the traditional dress. They welcomed the teachers with Arathi. The programme began with a prayer song sung by the students followed by lighting the lamp and offering flowers to the portrait of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Then the students spoke on the importance of teacher. The students performed various activities, conducted games to the teachers and felicitated them and offered gifts. At the end Principal addressed the students and congratulated them for their wonderful performance. It was a day of joy and showing love and respect towards the teachers by the students.

20.09.2019: IT quiz competition for PUC and High School students conducted at Karwar.  The students won many prizes.

23.09.2019: District level sports competition conducted for PU students at Shirali. Our students participated and won prizes.

Mr Yogesh Shanbagh the International Memory trainer gave half an hour session to the PU students on how to increase their memory power and Mr Gangadhar spoke on the use social Media. It was an enlightening and enriching session.

 

MAY 2019

28.05.2019 Orientation programme for the Staff of Anand Ashram Primary, High Schools and PU College was conducted from 9.00am to 1.00pm. Sr Severine Crasta UFS was the resource person of the day.

MARCH 2019

29.03.2019 Entrance exam coaching classes were given to PU students.  The PTA members were present for the inauguration of the programme. Resource person for the day was Mr Jerald Pinto.

SEPTEMBER 2018

Our students participated in taluk and district level science exhibition and 5 models were selected for district level. In district level 3 models secured the place Health model first place, energy resources 2^nd place, transport and communication 3^rd place. Health model was selected for state level to be held in Gadag.

10.09.2018: Our students participated in taluk level sports and won in group sports like throw ball boys and girls, volley ball girls, BBT girls, kabbadi boys.

05.09.2018: Teacher’s day was celebrated by PTA committee members and initiative was taken by Mr Radhakrishna Bhat. Teachers were  honoured with flowers and memento. And cultural programme was performed by our students. Anand Ashram institute staff came together for agape was arranged by Anand Ashram composite PU college.

31.07.2018: In Zonal level Prathibha karanji our students of Anand Ashram bagged number of prizes. Urdu,  Marathi, Tamil,Tulu, Konkani speech,  Folk song, Pick and speak, Rangoli, Gazal, Skit,  folk dance, group song  secured ist place.
English, Hindi, Sanskrit speech, Bharathanatya, Debete, group drawing secured 2^nd Place.

05.07.2018: World environment day was celebrated on 5^th of July 2018. Mr. Radha  Krishna  Bhat  PTA President was resource person of the day.  Awareness was brought among the students by a meaningful skit and other programmes. Saplings were distributed to the students to bring awareness about the day.

04.07.2018: Fr Urban Santhosh Fernandes, Director of Pastoral center visited our school and met all our students of PUC and High school and oriented them for the better future. After which the catholic students had Eucharistic celebration.

JUNE 2018

27&30.08.2018: Singing and best out of waste competitions were held on 27^th and 30^th respectively.

23.06.2018: Various clubs were inaugurated with creative activities. Interact-Club, Eco-Club, Health-Club, Science-Club, Maths-Club, Children right – Club, Literacy-Club, Sports -Club.

21-22.06.2018: Carrier guidance was held for Puc Students on 21^st and 22^nd Dr. Gerald Pinto Professor in physics and Dr John Shera Professor in Mathematics were the resource persons. They also introduced CET, NEET and JET Classes.

14.06.2018: Ramzan was celebrated on 14-06-2018 all the Muslim students performed various cultural activities.

05.06.2018: Environment day was celebrated in Anand Ashram composite PU College. Various competitions were held like drawing and Essay. Sr Leena D Souza addressed the P U students on importance of the day.

28.05.2018: Orientation for all the teachers of Anand Ashram higher primary and composite PU College was arranged on 28- 05-2018. Rev Fr Urban Santhosh Director of pastoral centre Karwar was the resource person of the day.
